Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Children may sometimes present with developmental delays, movement milestone delays, and/or sensory processing sensitivities. RISE Pediatric Therapies (RPT) offers the tools and services you need to support your child in reaching age-appropriate OT developmental milestones. We offer in-home and community early intervention services for children and families, as well as therapy clinics for developmental disabilities (TDD). We serve Mesa, Surprise, Tucson, and their surrounding areas in Arizona. Contact us at (480) 295-4925 for more information or get started now.

Consider Pediatric OT for Improved Fine Motor Skills

At RISE Pediatric Therapies, we use a play-based model in conjunction with a family-centered approach to work on meeting the following milestones, which can help your child academically and with everyday skills too:

Eye-Hand Coordination

Fine Motor Skills

Pre-Writing Skills

Sensory Processing

Cognitive Skills

Self-Care

Feeding Skills

Hand Function

Not sure if your child needs help? One way to decide is to assess if a skill or a delay in that skill is affecting your child’s activities, daily routines, or development. If you believe it is, RISE Pediatric Therapies can address it in our therapy services. Children respond well to therapy as we model general play skills and messy play with them.

Pediatric Feeding Therapy

If you suspect a delay in your child’s feeding skills, our professional feeding therapist can evaluate your child. Feeding therapy can help them catch up to age-appropriate milestones and give them confidence in this everyday activity.

  • We’ll assess your child’s oral structure and oral motor skills to determine if they can support the capability to consume both solids and liquids.
  • To make sure your child is safe for oral eating, we’ll evaluate their feeding position, behavior, and oral movements.
  • If necessary, and with physician clearance, we can conduct safe oral trials to develop alternate methods of eating and facilitate a positive relationship with food.
